WORKOUT 16 OF 50 Once the country opened up from the COVID lockdown we made a dash for Michigan. The airports were totally empty and on the planes, you had people wearing 2-3 masks. It was strange to travel under these conditions and added a bit more pressure to the trip. Jenny typed up papers and assignments for her graduate program in Marriage and Family Therapy on the road before filming.
We filmed at an amazing spot in Detroit, Michigan with the Michigan Labor Legacy Monument in the background. It was amazing to be in the motor city car capital of the world. It was pretty remarkable to see the Detroit River so close, and the Canadian border on the other side which was closed due to Covid. Filming went well, and by the time we finished there were peaceful protesters gathering for the BLM movement.
